Liam James McFalls, infant son of Michael and Elizabeth McFalls, was stillborn on Wednesday December 26, 2012 at Columbus Regional Medical Center in Columbus, GA. Though he never spent any time with us, he touched many of our lives. His passing was due to a rare chromosomal disorder, Trisomy 18, which affects 1 in 6000 live births. Liam was preceded in death by his uncle Ryan McFalls. Liam is survived by his parents, Michael and Elizabeth (Libby) McFalls; his brother Kelly McFalls; paternal grandparents Jim and Sally McFalls; maternal grandfather Jim Roberts; maternal grandmother and step-grandfather Barbara and Dennis Laneman; aunts Christa Swenson, Megan Roberts, and Lindsey Roberts; cousins Gabby and Lily Swenson. In lieu of flowers we hope you consider making a donation in memory of Liam to one of the following organizations: http://www.trisomy18.org (a national organization that provides research and support for Trisomy 18 families), http://perinatal-hospice.org/ (a local organization that provides support for families of infant and in utero loss) or https://www.nowilaymedowntosleep.org/donate/ (an international organization that provides remembrance photography for families experiencing infant loss.)
