Katherine Grover 96, of Knoxville passed away Monday October 15,2012 in Knoxville. Katherine was a retired RN and was one of the first nurse anesthetists in Chicago area. She married and moved to LaPorte Indiana where she lived for 48 years. Katherine was active at Grace Baptist church in LaPorte and retired as a OB/GYN nurse. She had lived in Knoxville for 16 years and was active in the Clothes Closet Ministries and the Mercy Committee at Cedar Spring Presbyterian Church. Katherine was also a member of Saints Alive Sunday school class at Cedar Springs and had started a neighborhood bible study class in her neighborhood.
She is preceded in Death by her Husband of 62 years George Grover and survived by 2 daughters Joan Woodruff and Janet Garman; grandchildren Jeff(Dawn) Woodruff; Jennifer(Brian)Guthrie; Jill (Matt) Foster; Emily Garman; Christopher Garman; Great grandchildren Caleb Woodruff & Hayley Guthrie and many wonderful nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be held at 10:30 Thursday October 18th at Highland West Cemetery 9913 Sherrill Blvd Knoxville with funeral service to follow at 2:00 P.M. at Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church Chapel.
